If yes, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Team in Greece!


What You Get To Do In This Role


  • Perform regular bookkeeping activities in accordance with GR GAAP/IFRS.
  • Prepare the month-end/year-end trial balance as well as the closing journal entries.
  • Manage monthly reconciliations and filings for MyData online platform.
  • Prepare and file various corporate tax returns (VAT, CIT, Withholding Taxes) along with any other tax-related submissions, where required (stamp duty and/or other levies etc.).
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and bank accounts.
  • Perform fixed assets register maintenance.
  • Provide accounting support to other back-office units.
  • Comply with state and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
  • Analysis and implementation of systems and procedures to enhance workflow.
  • Prepare reports for management/ad hoc reports.

Job requirements

What we are looking for:


  • BSc in Accounting/Finance or other relevant degree.
  • MSc and/or professional qualifications will be considered an advantage.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years of proven experience in accounting and tax from the Banking sector and/or BIG 4 accounting firms.
  • Exposure with GR GAAP, IFRS and Tax legislation.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially MS Excel).
  • Fluent level of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding organizational & time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
